"Most of the staff is nice. Went there to pick up my grandmother because her husband had just passed. Grabbed all her stuff and spoke to most of the staff. Called back the following day because we had left a safe there that might have had documents in it. I asked if someone could box them and ship them and I would pay for shipping tabs their time. They then had an attitude... Read More

Hi Tyler, we are aware that your family members resided with us since the beginning of the year when a competitor shut their doors. Ward passed away last month, and your family was initially in charge of finances and moving them both into our community. Doris’ daughter in law, Cindy, emailed a notice to vacate in writing on September 15, 2023. Doris’ daughter and grandson showed up Monday evening and let me know their plans were to move her out on Wednesday. I spoke in detail with them explaining move-out instructions and that any personal items left in the room would yield a $400 trash out fee that needed to be paid by them since they weren’t on the account and part of the initial move-in. They said they didn’t have any room in their small car then redirected that the responsibility should’ve been on Ward’s family instead of them.
On Wednesday, Doris’ daughter and grandson moved her small items and left. Robert and I walked room #12 to complete the move-out checklist where I took pictures of the everything they left behind (pictures attached). This morning in the middle of stand-up with Angie and the Directors in the office, the you called to request we send you contents of the safe which was important paperwork they left behind. With you on speakerphone, I let you know that it wasn’t our policy to mail any items left behind to families and reminded you that we spoke with both you and your mother about removing all items from the room before you left. You immediately became upset and started cursing at me. I let you know that I had not cursed at you and would appreciate it if you calmed down. You started swearing again and I politely told you that I would hang up and said you could call me back once you calmed down and that you could ask for me. 30 minutes or so later, his mom called back to apologize and said they would send the $400. We understand this is a difficult time for you and your family, and hope that we can come to a better resolution.
We were able to locate paperwork and have it in a FedEx box ready to send. I plan to call Doris’ daughter and get an address to send it to.
Thank you
