Response from management
Ms. Malisa Draper, as a disgruntled former employee we understand that you are looking to tarnish Ashford Hall as much as possible by writing a public review full of false accusations. Let’s take a look at the items you brought up:
• Rude nurses and CNAs, never enough staff; We staff according to the needs of our residents. There are times when we have staff call in or no show their shifts (like you did) but we call our other employees to get those shifts filled in a timely manner. We receive many compliments on the care that our nursing staff give and tend only to hear about “rude” nurses when disgruntled staff get an earful from their peers about not pulling their weight.
• Don’t get paid what you are owed; You were paid everything that you were owed. You did call and complain after you quit (with no notice) that you were not paid for the online trainings you completed but never reported, so we investigated those trainings and paid you what you were due.
• Cleanliness of the building; We completed our annual survey just over 1 month ago at the end of October and received praise from the state surveyors for how good the building looked and how well the residents were taken care of. If there ever is an issue with the cleanliness of the building it is addressed immediately.
• “Horrible” food; We have a highly trained executive chef and a tenured dietary staff with copious amounts of experience. We receive compliments about the quality and taste of our food on a regular basis. We also listen to our resident’s suggestions for menu changes and requests.
We expect that if our employees ever have concerns about the building or the care given to our residents that they report it and then become part of the solution. You did neither of these. You said nothing while you worked here and then only made things worse by no-showing shifts and then quitting with no notice.
We are dedicated to our residents and their care and only want to employ those that share that same mindset. It is for the best that you are no longer an employee of Ashford Hall.

"My experience with Ashford Hall has been very positive. They have remained patient and caring and accepted BOTH my mother and father-in-law on a Medicaid-pending status. It's been almost 5 months and we are still in process of approval.
The facility is neat and clean. The staff is caring. My father-in-law's favorite is Tina (I believe)...although he calls her Michelle!
