"Neighborhood has gone downhill in the last eight years I have been here. Homeless folks are everywhere. Apartments are very small, and interior doors and cabinets are plywood with veneer. Cheap appliances. Laundry rooms on every other floor. They just put in new W/D. Some apts have W/D or hookups but not for full size. Upkeep is poor. The main elevator remained unrepaired... Read More

We strive for a great living experience that is more affordable than most apartments and is equipped with lots of fantastic amenities that our residents have access to enjoy. We believe that Julie and her team are doing a great job of providing that. We have seen and felt the change of neighborhoods in King County and are always doing our best to keep our communities as safe as we can. We even recently hosted a meeting at New Haven with the Mayor of Seattle and other officials on how to combat it in the north Seattle area. "Shag New Have Apartments are infested with bedbugs, I should know, I've lived here for three years for not being able to afford anything else until the SHA apartment I'm on a waiting list for becomes available.

Hi Peter, thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We regret that you had a negative experience, and are using this as an opportunity to improve. We have been working with residents on education on how to prevent bed bugs from getting into teh community and best ways to combat them when you see them. We have also invested in new equipment to help with servicing apartments that do have them as well. Our homeowners' insurance policy also includes bed bug care as part of it's complete package, as we want residents to easily report an issue. We will continue to work with residents to help eliminate a problem that come up. Thank you again for letting know of this issue.
